Privacy

Effective October 1, 2026

InSea turns what you sing into notes and adds them to one shared piece of music. Your voice stays on your phone. Only the notes are shared, and they aren’t linked to you.

This policy covers the InSea iPhone app and this website, both made by Song Studio Projects LLC (“we”).

Your voice

What is shared

When you finish a phrase, the app uploads:

These go to Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) public database, where anyone using InSea can hear them. Nothing about you, your device or your location is included.

Apple requires an iCloud account to add to a public database, and it attaches an identifier to each record that is specific to InSea. It doesn’t reveal your name, email or Apple Account. The app never reads this identifier, and we don’t use it to identify anyone. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Shared notes become part of the music and stay in the database. Because they carry nothing that identifies you, we can’t find or remove “your” notes on request.

Listening

You don’t need an account to listen. The app and this website download recent notes from Apple’s servers so they can play the music. As with any connection, Apple’s servers see your IP address when this happens.

Stored on your device

Deleting the app, or clearing this site’s data in your browser, removes these.

What we don’t do

This website

Like any website, the service that hosts this site may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and reliability. We don’t use them to track anyone.

Children

InSea doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
